My name is Harald Trompf and I live in Schacht-Audorf.
I've been retired for a few years now, which I'm thoroughly enjoying. Even as a young boy, I was fascinated by music. Around the age of 12 or 13, I discovered the Beatles and the Stones and thought to myself: I want to play that, too.
My aunt gave me my first guitar, which I taught myself. Later, I had a few lessons with two teachers. At 15 or 16, I joined my first school band, which included the now very well-known Rainer (Charlie) Beutin from the Schreckschussband. After that, I played in several bands playing blues/rock.
Things became a bit quieter on the music front after starting a family and having children. It wasn't until 2003 that I played again in a dance and party band, which broke up in 2016.
Now I want to pass on my love of the guitar to young people. I want to emphasize that I am not a trained guitar teacher, but I have introduced many children to the guitar in the past through private lessons, because I know very well what I'm doing.
