My name is Harald Trompf and I live in Schacht-Audorf.

I have been retired for a few years now, which I am thoroughly enjoying. Even as a young boy, I was fascinated by music. Around the age of 12 or 13, I discovered the Beatles and the Stones and thought to myself: I want to play that, too.

My aunt gave me my first guitar, which I taught myself to play. Later, I had a few lessons with two different teachers. At 15 or 16, I joined my first school band, which included Rainer “Charlie” Beutin, who is now very well known from the Charly Schreckschussband. After that, I played in several bands specialising in blues and rock.

Things became a bit quieter on the music front after starting a family and raising children. It was not until 2003 that I played again, this time in a dance and party band, which eventually split up in 2016.

Now, I want to pass on my love of the guitar to young people. I would like to emphasise that I am not a classically trained guitar teacher; however, I have introduced many children to the guitar in the past through private tuition because I know exactly what I am doing.
